The fresh 2017 Acura RLX is a luxury sedan that offers plenty of upscale tidbits while still ensuring a smooth and serene ride. It features a spacious cabin, plenty of safety features, abundant standard features, and excellent crash test-scores. Its release date should be expected early next year.

For 2017, buyers should expect new 19” wheels, suspension and chassis upgrades, expanded package collection, new safety features: collision mitigation, road departure mitigation, an all-surround camera, and rear-cross traffic alert. Lastly, the new Sport Hybrid trim is set to arrive later in the year while the previous base trim will no longer be available as it has been discontinued.
Although mostly unchanged for 2017, the new 2017 Acura RLX will most probably drive below the radar in its class. Just to be honest, the exterior and interior styling is conservative and a mild change might have worked for it. But that shouldn’t mean that the RLX misses the point, its exterior and interior styling is still something worth taking a selfie with.

Depending on your priorities, the new RLX offers plenty of features at a lower price tag if you were to compare it with its traditional and mostly higher priced German rivals.
To start off with, the base RLX features a standard navigation system, which is normally optional for most sedans. Other otherwise optional features include LED headlights, a suite of safety features, and keyless entry and ignition.

Notably, the price across the entire trim level hasn’t increased from the previous year. Things remain unchanged under the hood of the 2017 RLX, it still comes with a 3.5L V6 engine that drives the fore wheels via a six-speed auto transmission system. For 2017 however, Acura has seen it fit to fine tune its suspension tuning and chassis in an effort to help it reduce road noise, improve ride handling and quality.

Despite the effort, the RLX still comes with some notable cons. They include: uncomfortable seats on longer trips; disconnected steering feel; and distracting digital screen interface.
