This 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited has been purpose built as an expedition and over-landing vehicle designed to be a self contained camper that can explore the forests and backroads most vehicles can't access.

With a full commitment to spending more time in nature, exploring the mountains and continuing to grow our online business we wanted a vehicle that could be at home deep in the forest miles away from pavement...

But a vehicle that could also easily drive into any city, find parking in any parking lot and pull up to an AirBnB without raising any concerns of parking or having to deal with a trailer.

Also we are often overlanding on tight trails that have few or no turn-around points that a trailer would fit on... The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is a very capable vehicle and we did not want to take away from that by adding an adventure trailer.

We are full time living in the Jeep, but we mix in housesitting, AirBnB's as needed...

So far we have about 45 nights in the Jeep Wrangler with the Ursa Minor J30 camper and we love it!

This is our version of #VanLife but with a bit more of an off road style. It is not the most stealth camper ever, but we have no need to stealth camp in neighborhoods or rest areas...

We are happy to enjoy the many dispersed camping or boondocking opportunities around that are usually down washboard roads in National Forests.

Here is a bit more about the vehicle if you are interested...

The lift is a 2.5" AEV lift kit with a 1" spacer in the rear. The wheels are 17x8.5 Level 8 Trackers. Tires are 315/70/17 BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2

The spare tire carrier is made by AEV and is modified to bolt into the stock bumper.

The dual battery system is by Genesis Off Road... The solar kit is by Renogy.

The Jeep's fridge/freezer is an ARB 50 quart and we are SOOOOooooo glad we went with the fridge freezer instead of a cooler like a yeti!

If you are on the fence about getting a fridge freezer and plan to spend several days or weeks in nature, do it! Such a great upgrade that allows us to stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables when we are in town and we can go for nearly a week, off the grid!

Huge thanks to the team at Ursa Minor Vehicles for the top : http://www.ursaminorvehicles.com
